Take the stress away from a busy reception desk!
BlueBayTS has been written to help meet the demands
of a busy surgery. As it is generally the first point of contact with your patients,
it is important to ensure that your reception desk gives the impression of being
well organised and efficient. All too often, patients will spend long periods of
time queuing at the desk, usually for fairly trivial things such as telling the
reception staff that they have arrived for their appointment. This causes the patient
to become agitated, which in turn affects your reception staff.
Touch screen appointment arrivals...
BlueBayTS’ appointment arrival tools allow patients
to enter their date of birth and initials using a simple but efficient button system.
Buttons are large and clearly marked to cater for different hand sizes. BlueBayTS
then searches the practice’s appointments system for the appropriate booking and
prompts the patient to confirm that they have turned up for the correct appointment.
Patient appointment self-booking*...
Using BlueBayTS' self-booking appointment tools, the
patient has the facility available to book their own future appointments. You can
choose to book an appointment for a specific clinician, or for the first available
appointment with any doctor or nurse. The patient is required to enter their appointment
details and BlueBayTS will produce an appointment slip for the patient to take with
them as a reminder.
* This feature is not yet available in the
EMIS versions of BlueBayTS.
Repeat Prescription ordering*...
Available as an optional module, your patients will
be able to order their repeat prescriptions without bothering your receptionist
or handing in a repeat slip. Patient's can choose the medication that they want
to re-order (providing that they are allowed to do so), and BlueBayTS will create
a prescription and place it on your prescription queue ready for printing.
* This feature is not yet available in the EMIS or
Ganymede versions of BlueBayTS.
Capture GMS Contract information...
In order to help maximise income from the new GMS Contract,
it is crucial that all relevant information is captured wherever and whenever possible.
BlueBayTS helps the practice to do this by requesting key items of information at
the reception desk.
Information, such as, smoking status, and even blood pressure readings* can all
be specified by the patient after confirming their appointment booking.
* This feature is dependent on purchase of the appropriate
add-on monitoring equipment.
Inform the patient of required reviews and vaccinations...
In addition to capturing required patient information,
BlueBayTS can help keep the patient informed of any required reviews, clinics, practice
initiatives or treatment such as vaccinations and immunisations that are required.
This “helps the patient to help themselves” by prompting the patient to initiate
further action depending on the required item.
Fully customisable....
With BlueBayTS, you can tailor the software to the
specific requirements of the practice. A secure ‘admin’ section of the software
allows you to change the appearance of text, the wording of text, specify restrictions
on patient input, and change system defaults and settings.
